Activities
Basic Surgical Skills:
Our suturing classes have been very popular; surgical SHOs and registrars kindly donate their time to teach basic surgical skills, such as knot tying and suturing. Free for all members to attend. £1 for non-members.
Anatomy Classes:
We run weekly anatomy classes for students in the pre-clinical phase of the course. Students in the clinical phases are also welcome to join us. Occasionally we are able to book the dissection room, otherwise classes are held at the medical school or the information commons. Free for all members to attend. £1 for non-members.
Radiology Tutorials:
Recognising different pathologies on x-rays can be challenging, therefore we are running a series of tutorials teaching about reading x-rays. So far we have covered orthopaedic and chest x-rays, and we are looking to run further sessions on abdominal and neuro imaging.
