The Surgical Society was created for students interested in surgery and is affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, through their Opportunities in Surgery initiative. It aims to work as a bridge between the medical students of Sheffield and The Royal College of Surgeons of England through their Medical Student Liaison Committee. The MSLC's primary objective is to promote surgery as a career choice among medical students, whilst the Surgical Society aims to provide activities for students interested in surgery.
